October Love..

It’s here.. I LOVE October. (Disclaimer: I loved October prior to Pinterest/Insta/Coffee Drinking, lol!) 
As a child, I literally craved the month of October (birthday month!) & I still do. Personally, I am not big on receiving birthday gifts so it doesn’t really have anything to do with it! It just brings back vivid, beautiful memories of childhood when the month rolls around. My dad was a coach & my brother an athlete so the month always consisted of hot cocoa at football games, the fair, pumpkins (all my birthday parties were at the pumpkin patch!), the smell of wood burning, the fresh, crisp change in the air (also great for holding in curls), etc. I could go on & on about the memories. A more recent memory that I hold dear happened 3 years ago LAST NIGHT was John proposing to me. I remember thinking he would do it on my birthday & I LOVED that he did it the night before my favorite month began. 

Okay, this is pretty long for me. I just wanted to share because during the month of October I have this thing where I try not to waste any daylight. I have a long list of things I want to do this month to keep building memories, which is part of the reason why I was so excited to be spending the beginning of the month in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

  8. I share your love of October! It's the most beautiful and comfortable time of year in southern Virginia. Your outfit says October! Love the way the hat and booties bracket the colors in between and the way the necklace draws the eye to your hair.

  19. Everyone seriously loves october so much! Personally I'm a November kinda gal, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the pumpkin spice lattes and decorative gourds!

  36. I just found your blog and I love it! Fall is by far my favorite season because it is dedicated to getting cozy before the winter hits. I love the hat and my new obsession is warmer lip colors for the colder months. I cannot wait to read more from you!
